{poll=8}Morrisons have made a bold move in the current supermarket-led price war and have dropped the price of unleaded to 89.9p.
This is great news for the motorist. Many people have been paying nearer 100p for their fuel recently.
There are 276 Morrisons across the UK and you should be able to fill up at any store for these prices:
- Unleaded: 89.9p
- Diesel: 93.9p
We will now wait and see how the other supermarkets respond…

Who wants to know what morrisons charged for petrol in 2006!!! They say they're competitive well they're NOT If Grouse on the Wellingborough Road the supermarkets can charge £1.29. Asda in Bletchley was charging £1.29 even when everyone else was charging £1.34. I thought Supermarkets were supposed to "Stock it high sell it cheap" Why do Morrisons Sainsburys & Tesco PRETEND to give fuel cheaper when they do NOT! Is it notProfiteering at the pumps !
Give your loyal customers something honest in what you say, so far yiu haven't been honest with your advertising. Try reading your own comments.

i think that the government should lower fuel duty back down to the amount that it was bk in 1995 then petrol prices might start falling , people cant live and work with the price that the pumps are charging ,it should be under 60p a litre then ppl wouldnt be in so much debt then things might start improving fiancially with people

Is it not time that these petrol stations stopped pricing petrol on .9 of a penny as this does not really have any value today except to make it look cheaper, but I think that punters today are intelligent enough to know the difference.

When are these greedy fat cats going to realise there is a reccession on people will look for the cheapist fuel they can find morrisons have always played fair with the motorists and they are 98% of the time cheaper that anywhere else or any other supermarket people don't want points they want to save money now and would much prefer cur price fuel than loyalty points well done morrisons i hope you get ever motorist in great britain filling up at your fuel stations i for one most certainly will.

I am dissapointed with Morrisons, I have supported them because they were one of the first to drop their prices only to find that other supermarkets in my area are 2p cheaper!

hi can you tell me the nearest morrissons petrol suppliers please i live in croydon in surrey
Ade November 22, 2008
I can confirm that unleaded at Morissons is 89.9 back diesel is actually 1.05. Not sure whether this is down to supply and demand, less pressure or lack of refinaries (even though diesel needs less refining)
Gary November 21, 2008
diesel at morrisons cant be that its 105.9
Graham Bush November 21, 2008
having read the price reduction, I made a specail trip to the Widnes petrol station and paid £105.9p, & not as stated......

Shame that Tesco do not drop their price across the country. I have just rung them to ask why I am still having to pay £103.9 per litre and it is being reported that they have dropped their prices below £1.00 per litre and they say that they dropped it 3p across the board but due to transport costs each outlet has its own charge. She could not tell me where in the country they have an outlet that is charging below £1.00 as she would have to ring each outlet across the country to ask this.
In my local area (North Herts SG6) there is not any petrol station below £1.00. We don't have a Morrisons or Asda outlet. As usual because we live near London they charge the earth for it.
