Britannia Rescue have offered breakdown recovery for over 25 years. They were founded by the CSMA (Civil Service Motoring Association) to provide their members and other organisations with breakdown cover.

Britannia Rescue have an average response time of under 40 minutes, and they fix over 75% of faults at the roadside.

Nearly 1 in 6 of all deaths on Britain’s roads involves drivers who are over the legal alcohol limit. Driving or attempting to drive whilst over the legal limit carries a maximum penalty of 6 month’s imprisonment, a fine of up to £5,000 and a minimum 12 month ban from driving.

This level of cover offers benefits such as:

  • Roadside assistance,
  • Recovery to your home or a garage of your choice,
  • Assistance when you breakdown at home,
  • Replacement car, or the cost of an overnight stay if your car can’t be fixed that day,
  • Caravan and trailer cover, if they were connected to your vehicle at the time of breakdown (not at home),
  • Breakdown cover within the UK and Republic of Ireland,

European Breakdown Cover

This level of cover offers benefits such as:

  • Roadside assistance,
  • If you breakdown in the UK or abroad your vehicle will be towed to the nearest garage if it can’t be repaired at the roadside,
  • Assistance when you breakdown at home,
  • Replacement car, or the cost of an overnight stay if your car can’t be fixed that day,
  • Caravan and trailer cover, if they were connected to your vehicle at the time of breakdown (not at home),
  • UK and Republic of Ireland breakdown cover,
  • Arrangement for you, your vehicle and up to seven passengers to be repatriated to the UK if necessary,
  • Help with emergency alternative transport or accommodation in Europe, whichever is more suitable,
  • 24/7 English-speaking UK based control room,
  • They will cover the named vehicle in Europe for a trip that lasts up to 180 days.
