PetrolPrices.com launches new Local Fuel Price Display web tool
22nd Jan 2008
(Aldershot, UK) PetrolPrices.com has released a new web tool to provide automatic local petrol price updates on any website.
The AA have been using a tool which displays national data from PetrolPrices.com for the last 3 years, but after requests for a way to display more local data, PetrolPrices.com have created a clever tool which is now available free of charge.
You can have a look at the Local Fuel Price Display on the Buckingham and Winslow Advertiser here:

"Our new web tool will allow news organisations and local websites to display prices that are relevant to their users with minimal effort. The code drops straight into any web page, and continues to update itself automatically each day. " Brendan McLoughlin - Managing Director - PetrolPrices.com.
The Local Fuel Price Display works by using an iframe to gather and show data from PetrolPrices.com in a clear, readable format. To get one on your site, just copy and past this code into your website:
You'll need to substitute YOURTOWN for the area you'd like to see data for, e.g. aldershot OR buckingham. PetrolPrices.com is happy to provide technical support for the Local Fuel Price Display tool, either by email or phone. Please contact Louise on 0844 8160008 or 01252 367208. Alternatively you can email support@petrolprices.comNotes to editors
Petrolprices.com is the only free price comparison website for fuel prices in the UK. It allows consumers to search for the cheapest stations in their area, with potential savings of 15p a litre. PetrolPrices.com has over 2 million registered users, and 87% of 5000 users surveyed in September 2007 claimed the site saves them over £100 per year. As fuel prices rise the potential savings grow because the spread between the lowest and highest prices stations widens.
