What do the different usernames under the prices mean?
We recieve prices from multiple sources the differences are:
Site Owner = An owner of a fuel station has directly updated us with their latest price.
PetrolPrices = One of our data feeds has updated which takes pricing data from transactions that take place at fuel stations.
You’ll also occasionally see prices against a PetrolPrices users username which is where a helpful PetrolPrices user has either confirmed the price is still correct, or has updated us with a new one.
Why have I hit a limit on updating or confirming prices?
We understand this can be frustrating when you’re trying to help other motorists using PetrolPrices, however we do have strict algorithms in place to combat false price updates. If you have reached a limit and would like to discuss lifting the temporary block on your account please contact us at [email protected]
Whats the best way to compare prices?
You can compare prices in either a list format choosing to sort between price or distance, or you can view them on a map. Simply toggle between the map icon on the top right hand menu (next to the account icon) and the bullet list icon.

In the app, simply select the car icon along the bottom menu (you’ll need to hold an account with us to use this feature.) Then type in your vehicles registration and we’ll do the rest. If you ever need to update your vehicle simply head back to this section of the app with your new registration and over write it. You can also log in here to update it.
