I’ve left small change here many times but if it’s £25.01 they hold out for the penny. Poor show grasping for a penny I’m happy to pay. Me “do you want the penny”, her £25.01 in a demanding tone.

No give a penny take a penny here. Yes my fuel was £25.01 (was aiming for £25.00 but overshot) and happily pay it but the response to my politely asking if she wanted the penny was a gruff repeat of the £25.01, not happy. I cannot count the times I’ve left small change with these people by declining coppers. Never again will I leave a penny change there. I’ve travelled a fair bit and it’s common to accommodate customers with this small courtesy. I’ll continue to use this station but no courtesy.

Coping well this morning, staff were directing cars to available pumps, they were running out of some fuels.
