About Applegreen Fuel

Applegreen is an Irish company founded in 1992 in Dublin. The business operates 620 forecourt sites and employs around 15,000 people across Ireland, UK and America. Over the last 30 years, their brand reputation and success have developed through their retail and value offerings, including their slogan low fuel prices, always. To keep this price promise, Applegreen claims they regularly check the fuel price in each of their stations’ local areas and set prices to ensure they are at least as low as the lowest competing site in the local area.

In 2018, Applegreen purchased the majority of the UK motorway service area operator Welcome Break for €361.8m. Applegreen is now the UK’s second-largest motorway service area (MSA) operator.

Apllegreen sells regular unleaded and diesel, alongside a 97 octane super unleaded in its around 130 locations in the UK which have a market share of just over 1.5% of retail fuel sales.
