About Costco Fuel

The American-owned membership-only warehouse Costco opened its first fuel forecourt in June 2014. It is a significant player in the US and Canadian fuel markets. Costco charges a membership fee and prides itself on selling products at lower prices than are typically found at conventional wholesale or retail outlets.

Costco has 29 store locations in the UK, and 19 of these sell fuel. Of these, 17 are in Egland, and two are in Scotland. Costco buys its petrol and diesel from refineries and distributors across the UK.

The Costco forecourts sell Kirkland Signature™ Unleaded, Premium Unleaded 97 and Premium Diesel fuels. Their Kirkland Signature Fuel contains additives designed to keep the vehicle’s engine protected and running efficiently. Costco claims its fuels restore fuel economy, improve performance, reduce emissions and protect fuel injectors and intake valves from harmful deposits.

The fuel station is open to Costco members only. Customers need to scan their membership card at the pump to confirm their membership is active. Costco forecourts are entirely self-serve, with pay-at-the-pump technology. They accept all major credit cards but not cash and mobile payment methods.
